About 407 Films
THE FOUNDING STORY
On July 15, 2003, JP Manterola arrived in the United States from Santiago, Chile with a background in production and the belief that certain stories deserved to be told at a higher level.
Over the years, that belief evolved into 407 Films.
Founded by JP, Nicolás, and Diego Manterola, 407 Films is a documentary studio focused on premium long-form nonfiction films and series with a global production footprint. Our work is built on deep access, cinematic precision, and an instinct for stories that leave a lasting mark.
The studio’s name comes from a personal date that changed everything. That idea remains at the core of the company today: the stories we pursue are deeply connected to ambition, sacrifice, identity, and the pursuit of something larger than yourself.
Our subjects are individuals who crossed borders, broke barriers, and competed on the world stage on their own terms.
Eliseo Salazar did it in Formula 1 and Indianapolis. Marcelo Ríos did it in professional tennis.
Their stories are personal to us because, in many ways, we understand the journey behind them.

WHAT WE MAKE
407 Films develops and produces documentary films and limited series for premium streaming platforms and international distribution.
Our work is rooted in stories shaped by ambition, identity, sacrifice, and the pursuit of greatness — often through individuals who crossed borders, challenged expectations, and competed on the world stage.
With a cinematic approach to nonfiction storytelling and relationships built over years of trust and access, we focus on character-driven stories with global relevance and lasting cultural impact.
These are not niche stories. They are universal stories about people who refused to accept the limits placed around them.
FOR AGENCIES AND DISTRIBUTORS
407 Films is structured for co-productions, pre-sales, and strategic distribution partnerships across premium nonfiction film and television.
We collaborate with streaming platforms, international distributors, and production companies seeking cinematic long-form storytelling built on deep access, global production experience, and culturally resonant subjects with international reach.
The studio is currently developing multiple projects and welcomes conversations with qualified partners aligned with our editorial and creative vision.
